How We Currently Love to Layer Our Chokers and Necklaces
At YCL, our mission is to craft pieces that are "more than jewellery", but we also want to provide our customers with our tips & tracks when it comes to wearing our treasures. Fabienne designs in a way so our treasures are all able to be worn together in a divine & feminine way for our #YCLWomen.
With this post, we would like to share some of our favourite tips when gathering pieces to layer, to create an elegant and unique look for any occasion. When aiming to create a cohesive yet fun & elegant layer, there a couple of things to keep in mind.
Fabienne's formula for perfect layering:
"1) a tight choker that sits high on the neck that has a slightly different texture, 2) a choker that sits at the collarbone which may include charms that drape over the collarbone, and 3) a necklace that forms the shape of V, which collectively houses the chokers within it's frame."
This image is a perfect example of two different chokers, the Crystal Cave Choker II provides a different texture with it's design, and the il sole necklace has a charm that drops down over the collarbone. The Full Bloom necklace drops down, collectively contains the chokers.
If you apply our first formula to this photo, you can see that we decided to take a little bit of a risk with the addition the fourth, Infinite Necklace, however with the plunging neckline, this combination works beautifully.
This keeps in line with the formula, however adds more texture with the drop down charms of the Glacier necklace. Also works incredibly well with a top that has a plunging neckline.
This collection of treasures was an intuitive collection, however you can see that we haven't broken the 'rules' completely (mind you, if you want to go nuts!). The Glacier necklace is acting as the second choker here, with the drop down of charms to showcase the collar bone. The Full Bloom necklace once again acts as the V that contains the higher layers.
